About the position

Cognex Corporation is seeking motivated undergraduates to join its Finance Development Program (FDP) as part of its 2025 Campus Recruitment initiative. This program is designed for individuals who are eager to kickstart their careers in finance within a dynamic and innovative environment. The FDP consists of four six-month rotations across various areas of finance, including financial planning, analysis, reporting, accounting, and other ad hoc projects. Participants will gain hands-on experience and exposure to different facets of the finance organization, which is responsible for financial planning and reporting, accounting, sales planning and operations, and demand planning. As a participant in the FDP, you will have the opportunity to analyze booking, revenue, and margin trends, plan and analyze department expenses, and provide data analytics utilizing SAP and Business Intelligence tools. You will also prepare monthly and quarterly reports for senior management, propose and implement process improvements, and provide financial support for ad hoc business unit projects. The program emphasizes career development, offering mentoring, networking opportunities, and detailed performance feedback to help you grow professionally. Additionally, there may be opportunities for international assignments and exposure to investor relations and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative field
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn new financial skills and business knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Self-starter with confidence in cross-functional collaboration
