About the position

The Chemical Engineer Intern position at BHE Renewables, LLC is designed for individuals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the field of mineral development. This internship will provide the opportunity to support various activities associated with the development and construction of mineral projects. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals to assist in evaluating potential investments and acquisitions, conducting due diligence, and performing necessary research to inform business decisions. Interns will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive reports and presentations that track project schedules, financials, and the overall status of development and construction projects. This role will also involve assisting in the preparation of essential documentation such as contracts, permit applications, and regulatory filings to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. In addition to these core responsibilities, interns will analyze financial models and summarize findings for the development team, contributing to informed decision-making processes. The position may also include additional responsibilities as assigned, providing a well-rounded experience in the field of chemical engineering and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Supports all activities associated with the development and construction of mineral development projects.
  • Assists with evaluation and due diligence on potential investments, acquisitions and other business evaluations and performs research.
  • Develops and maintains reports, presentations, project schedules and plans, and tracks project financials, invoicing and development and construction status of projects.
  • Assists in the preparation of contracts, permit applications, regulatory filings and other activities necessary to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze financial models; provide summary of information to development team on analysis.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with project management software.
  • Previous internship or work experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance processes.
