About the position
The 2025 Clinical Summer Internship Program at the Child Mind Institute offers an 11-week, clinically oriented internship for undergraduate juniors and seniors interested in child mental health and related fields. Interns will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic outpatient clinical practice, working closely with children and adolescents facing various psychiatric disorders. The program emphasizes supervised clinical therapeutic experiences, mentorship, and professional development in the mental health field.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to clinicians in preparation for and during treatment sessions.
- Prepare individualized materials to support children in treatment sessions.
- Train to become counselors for the Brave Buddies program.
- Assist clinical faculty in ongoing clinical projects and in organizing innovative public education programs.
- Complete a literature review under the mentorship of a faculty clinician and prepare a presentation for the Child Mind Institute community.
Requirements
- Must be an undergraduate junior who will begin their senior year in August/September 2025, or an undergraduate senior graduating by September 2025.
- No applications from students in master's degree programs will be accepted.
