About the position

We are seeking Industrial Engineer Co-ops who will engage in hands-on work that directly contributes to our company's success. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing the efficiency of manufacturing operations, focusing on personnel, material, machines, and facilities. This role requires a combination of leadership ability, critical thinking, and strong communication skills, with independent decision-making supported by supervisor mentorship. The Industrial Engineer Co-op will confirm or recommend changes to layouts, labor control, and material control. Frequent contact with individuals outside the work group is expected, as well as assisting in the development of accurate methods and optimal operation layouts. The role involves making operation descriptions and performing vital calculations to complete studies and implement changes to labor and material control systems. Specific physical requirements for this position include the ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods, read standardized work instructions, operate machines and tools, and perform quality inspections. The candidate must be able to promptly detect and respond to safety instructions, alarms, and signals, and wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, and safety shoes. The work environment is a loud manufacturing setting that is not climate-controlled, with conditions that can be hot or cold. The role also requires frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, as well as the ability to lift or carry materials weighing up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds periodically. Occasional sitting, climbing (including ladders and lifts), and driving vehicles and equipment are also part of the job.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Must be graduating between December 2025 and May 2028.
  • Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Willing to work in a plant environment.
  • Enrolled in a co-op program at your university.
