About the position

The Intern position at TIAA provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the financial services industry through a structured 10-week summer internship program. Interns will participate in training, attend meetings, and engage in various business-specific tasks while working closely with cross-functional teams. This role is designed to help interns understand the organization and its operations across different business areas such as Technology, Asset Management, Financial Analysis, and more.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties such as taking memos, organizing documents, maintaining files, photocopying, and faxing as needed.
• Assists in preparing information and research materials, including PowerPoint presentations.
• Takes notes during meetings and provides them to team members.
• Researches and gathers documentation as directed by colleagues.
• Attends company functions, including training programs, speaker series, lunch-and-learns, and social networking events that provide opportunities for career growth and personal development.
• Shadows multiple office jobs and trains in a variety of tasks.
• Gains experience and an overall feel for the company and the financial services industry.

Requirements

• Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
