Join the Fusion Team in 2025! Fusion is a rotational training program within the Applied Materials Semiconductor Equipment business unit located in Gloucester, MA. It is designed to attract, assimilate, grow, and retain the most talented engineers entering the industry today. During the first two years of employment, Fusion engineers go through a series of rotational assignments and work on cutting-edge designs to enable next generation technologies. The rotations typically consist of three or four unique engineering departmental assignments. These rotations help Fusion members and managers determine where the Fusion member will flourish in their full-time position at Applied Materials.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the procurement and assembly of electrical/electronic components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve basic technical issues
  • Design or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of limited scope under direct supervision
  • Perform basic engineering analysis under direct supervision
  • Perform and generate basic engineering test reports under direct supervision
  • Generate related alpha/gamma documentation for product release
  • Troubleshoot a variety of basic electrical problems
  • Effective use of engineering processes in the resolution of generally difficult electrical problems of limited scope

Requirements

  • Graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Must be in good academic standing with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
  • Able to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset who thrives in a results-driven culture

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous internship or related experience in field
