We are currently seeking entry-level electrical engineers to join our ES Defense Hardware Engineering Team. This role is part of our Year One program, which is designed to jumpstart your engineering career. As an entry-level engineer, you will be part of a curated group of peers and a dedicated program team that fosters strong connections and leadership relationships. The Year One program includes team-building events, networking opportunities, training sessions, and self-improvement modules, all aimed at helping you integrate into your new role. You will also have a peer mentor to guide you through your journey, ensuring you receive the support needed to navigate your first steps in your engineering career. In this role, you will perform electrical engineering work that requires knowledge and application of basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts. You will work under direct technical supervision and participate in various assignments that may include design, development, and testing of electrical systems. Responsibilities

  • Perform specific professional technical assignments of an investigatory, design or test nature requiring limited analysis and evaluation, selection and application of basic engineering principles, theories and techniques.
  • Participate in the investigation, development, and testing of designs to meet specified operational, space, and functional requirements.
  • Receive directions and instructions from supervisors or senior engineering personnel regarding assignment objectives and alternative approaches.
  • Work on specific assignments that may include design and development of components, circuits, and performance analysis of test data.
  • Instruct and direct the work of technicians, if assigned.
  • Prepare charts, diagrams, and reports expressing technical progress and accomplishments against specific plans.
  • Begin to develop areas of specialization and maintain awareness of scientific and technological developments in the field.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • MS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

  • Experience in Power Supply/Systems Design
  • Experience in Analog Circuit Design
  • Experience in Digital Circuit Design
  • Experience in FPGA development
  • Experience with VHDL Programming language
  • Experience with PSPICE or equivalent analog circuit simulation tools
  • Experience in Board Design using Cadence Allegro for schematic capture and PCB design
  • Experience in RF circuit design
  • Basic knowledge of microwave technology
  • Proficient in circuit active and passive devices
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, Perl, Labview, TestStand
