About the position

The 2025 Equity Research Summer Associate position at Evercore ISI in New York offers a unique opportunity for first-year MBA students to immerse themselves in the world of equity research. This internship is designed to provide Summer Associates with a fast-paced learning environment where they can quickly take on significant responsibilities. The research teams at Evercore ISI cover a wide range of sectors, including macroeconomic trends, policy analysis, and deep industry expertise in areas such as energy, consumer goods, financial services, healthcare, REITs, transportation, and technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT). During the internship, Summer Associates will be assigned to a Senior Research Analyst and will work closely with them throughout the program. This close collaboration will allow interns to engage in high-value research activities, including conducting proprietary research, interacting with senior management teams of covered companies, and analyzing their customers, competitors, and regulatory environments. Interns will also assist in preparing comprehensive research reports and developing financial models. A key aspect of the internship is the opportunity to take ownership of a unique research product, which may include company initiations and in-depth sector analyses that will be published for clients. Candidates for this position should possess a strong interest in equity research and a passion for understanding the macro and microeconomic factors that influence companies and markets. Responsibilities include conducting financial and valuation analyses, resolving complex financial and accounting issues, and gaining insights into industry dynamics that will inform research reports and presentations.
