About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at Raytheon involves designing and developing electronics and test equipment for various sensor systems. The role focuses on circuit analysis, integration, and testing of RF, analog, and digital components, while collaborating with a team to enhance productivity and resolve hardware performance issues. This position is essential for supporting the Hardware Engineering Center's mission to create secure and effective solutions for defense applications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct circuit analysis and simulation.
  • Maintain design documentation and perform trade assessments for obsolescence resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware performance issues.
  • Integrate and test RF/Analog/Digital components and modules.
  • Design, develop, and integrate Special Test Equipment (STE) with Prime Hardware.
  • Analyze Hardware/Software test requirements to determine necessary specifications.
  • Develop solutions to test issues and enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with test technicians, operations managers, and quality assurance personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a lab environment with standard EE lab equipment (e.g., Vector Network Analyzers, oscilloscopes).
  • Strong technical aptitude demonstrated through academic performance or hands-on lab experience.
  • Ability to work with production equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic principles in electrical engineering, particularly in RF, power, and analog/digital design.
  • Experience in team environments and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools.
