About the position

The Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) at Raytheon is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronics and test equipment for RF, EW, Communications, and EO sensors. This role involves working on circuit analysis, simulation, and hardware integration, contributing to the development of airborne, ground, and space-based systems. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure hardware and software requirements are met, and to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct circuit analysis and simulation.
  • Maintain design documentation and perform trade assessments for obsolescence resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware performance issues.
  • Integrate and test RF/Analog/Digital components and modules.
  • Design, develop, and integrate Special Test Equipment (STE) with Prime Hardware.
  • Analyze Hardware/Software test requirements to determine necessary specifications.
  • Develop solutions to test issues and enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with test technicians, operations managers, and Quality Assurance personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a lab environment with standard EE lab equipment (e.g., Vector Network Analyzers, oscilloscopes).
  • Strong technical aptitude demonstrated through academic performance or hands-on lab experience.
  • Ability to apply basic principles and concepts within electrical engineering fields.
  • Experience working within a team environment.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
