About the position
The Electrical Engineer position at RTX Corporation involves designing and developing electronics and test equipment for RF, EW, Communications, and EO sensors. The role is focused on circuit analysis, integration, and testing of various components, while collaborating with a team to enhance productivity and resolve hardware performance issues. This position is essential for supporting the Hardware Engineering Center's mission to provide engineering and manufacturing support for airborne, ground, and space-based systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct circuit analysis and simulation, maintain design documentation, and perform trade assessments for obsolescence resolution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware performance issues and integrate hardware components.
- Design, develop, and integrate Special Test Equipment (STE) with Prime Hardware.
- Analyze Hardware/Software test requirements to determine necessary specifications.
- Develop solutions to test issues and enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with test technicians, factory facilitators, operations managers, and other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in a lab environment with standard EE lab equipment (e.g., Vector Network Analyzers, oscilloscopes).
- Strong technical aptitude demonstrated through academic performance or hands-on lab experience.
- Ability to apply basic principles and concepts within electrical engineering fields.
- Experience working within a team environment.
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
- Familiarity with MS Office tool suite.
