About the position

The Analyst, Program Cost Controls position at Raytheon involves supporting the Naval Air Missiles Product Line within the Operations and Supply Chain Finance organization. The role focuses on overseeing labor financials, developing labor forecasts, and providing financial reporting and analysis to ensure program financial commitments are met. This position offers an opportunity to gain a strong understanding of the manufacturing environment while collaborating with the Finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of labor forecasts on a quarterly basis including costs, risks and opportunities for Factories and at the Program / Product Line level.
  • Provide cost, schedule and funding planning, reporting, monitoring, and analysis support to OSC leaders, leadership teams, and management using standard company tools and processes.
  • Prepare program financial forecasts, monitor actual costs, and explain variances to plans and forecasts.
  • Manage cost accumulation methods for direct labor including discrete charging and allocation pool charging.
  • Support the preparation of cost estimates for new business proposals and assist Estimating and Program Analysts in developing rationale for basis of estimates.
  • Assist in the development and streamlining of OSC labor reports, EAC management and special projects to drive internal efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Management, Finance, Economics or closely related major.
  • 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to government contractual requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel functionality (pivot tables, lookups, macros, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; self-motivated.
  • Proactive; ability to show initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis.
  • Strong analysis skills and comfortable working with and analyzing large data sets.
  • Good written and verbal skills, including demonstrated ability to present information.
