The Supply Chain Finance program at PepsiCo is designed as a fast-track training initiative aimed at preparing individuals for key finance and accounting roles within the Supply Chain organization. The entry-level position for this program is the Supply Chain Finance Assistant Analyst, which is a critical role that will last approximately 18-24 months. This position reports directly to the Plant Controller and is part of a broader program that encompasses various operations and technical disciplines. Participants in this program will gain valuable skills and experiences that will enable them to excel in multiple cross-functional finance roles across the PepsiCo network, both in corporate and field settings. As a Supply Chain Finance Assistant Analyst, you will be involved in a wide range of accounting processes and financial analyses. Key responsibilities include managing accounting period close tasks, utilizing forecasting methods, conducting cost and variance analysis, and contributing to the development of the Annual Operating Plan. Additionally, you will be responsible for timely completion of assigned project work, which includes process improvement initiatives and ad hoc analyses. You will also engage in management reporting of financial results, which involves calculating and communicating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), innovation costing, and capital investment analytics, including discounted cash flow (DCF) models. A significant aspect of this role is to act as a key partner with the Supply Chain operations teams, ensuring that financial insights are integrated into operational decision-making. Moreover, the Supply Chain Finance Assistant Analyst will have the opportunity to participate in the broader Supply Chain Finance program, which includes exposure to other Supply Chain functions through defined cross-functional project work and involvement in operations improvement teams. This role also encourages building connections with other Supply Chain Finance Assistant Analysts in the program and providing feedback on the overall experience, which contributes to campus recruiting efforts.
