About the position
The Systems Engineer I position at RTX Corporation is an entry-level role focused on supporting radar systems within a premier program. The role involves statistical analysis, tool development, collaboration with engineering teams, and presenting findings to leadership. This position is essential for ensuring the integration of mission systems and requires on-site presence in Aurora, CO.
Responsibilities
- Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data
- Develop analysis tools to support problem identification and resolution
- Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to implement solutions
- Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers
- Focus on radar systems including signal processing, waveform design, and electronic protection methods.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- Experience using MS Office Suite tools
- Experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis and automation.
Nice-to-haves
- 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
- Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
- Experience with Agile and/or DevSecOps development methods
- Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions
- Proven strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Basic Engineering skills and interest in systems development
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse communities and cultures.
