About the position

The Systems Engineering Directorate at Raytheon is seeking a motivated individual to contribute to Mission Systems Integration activities. This role focuses on defining customer needs, developing functional and product architecture, and performing requirements definition and decomposition. The position involves collaboration with customers to enhance capabilities for the warfighter, utilizing Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and System Security Engineering (SSE).

Responsibilities

• Concept and requirements development, including decomposition and flow-down
• Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
• Algorithm optimization, research and development; trade studies to bring new, advanced features to fielded system
• Functional analysis of real world and test data
• Multi-disciplinary development efforts across the kill-chain for an Air and Missile Defense System
• Collaboration with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering
• This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of radar systems (for example - PATRIOT, LTAMDS, AN/TPY-2 and others)
• Experience with both broad, large-scale data analysis and focused root-cause analysis
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
• Experience with design of system level architecture
• Experience with signal processing techniques, system control
• Knowledge of Electronic Warfare/Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection Techniques
• Experience in requirements development
• Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues
• Familiarity with MATLAB, DOORS, and MS Office
• Existing DoD Security Clearance
