About the position
The Systems Engineer position at Raytheon involves integrating hardware and software, developing test plans, debugging system functions, and verifying system requirements. The role requires collaboration across disciplines to ensure systems work effectively, supporting teams engaged in integration and test efforts. This is an onsite position in Tucson, AZ, with occasional travel for test event support, not exceeding 15%.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
- Operate systems and related simulators/stimulators
- Identify and resolve issues and anomalies through debugging/troubleshooting and data analysis
- Integrate hardware or software into a tactical system and evaluate functionality
- Develop integration documentation, execute plans and procedures, process and analyze data, and communicate results
- Communicate with internal and/or external stakeholders
- Travel to support mission execution at applicable facility, test site, vendor, and/or customer location
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date
- Experience with tools such as MATLAB or Python for data analysis and automation
- Experience with troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with or exposure to various military platforms for weapons conveyance
- Experience with using telemetry data collection equipment
- Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols
- Experience with reading and integrating software routines with hardware/electronics; C/C++/C# preferred
- Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets
