About the position

The Systems Engineering Directorate at Raytheon is seeking a Systems Engineer to focus on Mission Systems Integration activities. This role involves defining customer needs, developing functional and product architecture, and engaging in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and System Security Engineering (SSE). The position is onsite in Tewksbury, MA, and requires collaboration with customers to enhance capabilities for the warfighter.

Responsibilities

• Concept and requirements development, including decomposition and flow-down
• Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
• Algorithm optimization, research and development; trade studies to bring new, advanced features to fielded system
• Functional analysis of real world and test data
• Multi-disciplinary development efforts across the kill-chain for an Air and Missile Defense System
• Collaboration with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter

Requirements

• Master's degree in science, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of radar systems (e.g., PATRIOT, LTAMDS, AN/TPY-2)
• Experience with both broad, large-scale data analysis and focused root-cause analysis
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
• Experience with design of system level architecture
• Experience with signal processing techniques, system control
• Knowledge of Electronic Warfare/Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection Techniques
• Experience in requirements development
• Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues
• Familiarity with MATLAB, DOORS, and MS Office
• Existing DoD Security Clearance
