About the position

The Systems Engineer position at Raytheon involves supporting the planning and execution of integration, verification, and flight test activities. The role requires collaboration across disciplines to ensure that systems work effectively and meet customer requirements. The engineer will engage in troubleshooting, data analysis, and performance evaluations, contributing to the development lifecycle of defense systems.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Flight Test activities in labs, in the field, or at a test range.
• Support qualification of products.
• Troubleshoot and analyze failure data, including root cause and corrective action processes.
• Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations using analysis tools such as MATLAB.
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date.
• Experience with tools such as MATLAB or Python for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with military platforms for weapons conveyance, such as ships and aircraft.
• Experience with telemetry data collection equipment.
• Experience with electrical schematics and communications protocols.
• Experience with reading and integrating software routines with hardware/electronics; C/C++/C# preferred.
• Experience with instrumentation and collection of large datasets.
