About The Position
Morgan Stanley's Global Capital Markets (GCM) division is seeking a GCM Strat Summer Analyst for its 2025 Summer Associate Program in New York. This program is designed for graduate students who are looking to apply their knowledge in financial engineering, mathematical modeling, and computer science to real-world capital markets transactions. The GCM division plays a crucial role in responding to clients' capital needs through innovative solutions, whether it involves executing an IPO, a debt offering, or a leveraged buyout. As a GCM Strat, you will work closely with bankers, traders, and other Strat groups across the firm, leveraging your skills to analyze markets, products, and capital market transactions. The 10-week in-person program will take place at Morgan Stanley's headquarters in New York City. Participants will be placed in the GCM Strats Group and will benefit from a structured summer program that includes training sessions on accounting, industry-specific knowledge, and the use of proprietary analytical tools. Mentorship will be provided to enhance your development and exposure to the GCM division, ensuring that you gain a high level of responsibility early in your career. As a GCM Strat Summer Analyst, your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining data-driven analytics and financial models to advise clients on their financing needs. You will collaborate with various teams, including sector coverage and derivatives coverage, to provide differentiated analysis for high yield bond, leverage loan, investment grade bond, and equity issuances. Additionally, you will develop and maintain critical business reporting solutions for senior management and back test hedging strategies, working extensively with cross-divisional risk and tech departments.
