About the position

The Cybersecurity Engineer position at Constrained Cyber Solutions is designed for recent graduates who are eager to contribute to the development of cyber solutions that protect U.S. military and space systems. The role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to research, design, and implement advanced cyber capabilities, focusing on areas such as cryptography, RF-enabled cyber, embedded solutions, and offensive security. The position offers the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research and gain valuable experience in a supportive and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, and operationalize novel encryption methodologies in advanced cryptography.
  • Analyze potential cyber vulnerabilities in systems and understand their mission impact in offensive security.
  • Research and grow space system cybersecurity for resilience and tactical capabilities.
  • Prototype solutions for capability gaps in current platforms from various STEM perspectives.
  • Collaborate with industry, academia, and government to design and test cyber capabilities for military and space systems.
  • Give technical briefings and presentations on research findings and developments.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Knowledge in at least one programming language such as Python, Rust, VHDL, Verilog, C, C++, Java, or MATLAB.
  • Educational background or specialization interest in advanced cryptography, RF-enabled cyber, embedded solutions, offensive security, or space cybersecurity concepts.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance and ultimately a TS/SCI level clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous relevant experience in internships or professional roles related to cybersecurity or engineering.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and software application development.
  • Skills in offensive or defensive cyber, such as participation in university cybersecurity competitions.
  • An active security clearance.
