About the position

The AWS internship at Annapurna Labs focuses on hardware co-design, particularly in the realm of machine learning and FPGA acceleration. Interns will engage in the design and optimization of hardware components for data centers, contributing to cutting-edge technology that enhances performance and cost-effectiveness for customers. Responsibilities

  • Be part of hardware design team for acceleration cards, servers, and electrical validation for silicon
  • Work on schematic design for new acceleration cards
  • Be involved with AWS Servers testing
  • Participate in modeling and simulation of interconnects

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Bachelors' degree program or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a graduation conferral date between December 2025 and September 2026
  • Academic, internship, or professional experience with schematic design and layout review of PCBs
  • Academic, internship, or professional experience with x86 system design and microcontroller programming
  • Familiarity with oscilloscope and multimeters

Nice-to-haves

  • Project/Internship experience with Automation (Python, Perl, Shell, or Lua)
  • Academic, internship, or professional experience with circuit boards (2-layer or 4-layer), buck or linear regulators, transmission lines (TE, TM, TEM), high-speed design (USB, PCIE), transistors, operational amplifiers, low-speed interfaces (I2C, SPI), Linux, microcontrollers, and soldering
  • Familiarity with simulation and modeling tools such as Cadence Allegro, Cadence OrCAD, Altium Designer, Autodesk Eagle, KiCAD, and Spice simulation
