About the position

As a Marketing Intern at IBM, you will play a crucial role in uncovering and transforming insights into creative experiences that resonate with our customers. This internship is designed for Summer 2025, where you will have the opportunity to engage with a team that is at the forefront of innovation and creativity. IBM is a leader in Hybrid Cloud and AI, and as part of our Marketing, Communications & Corporate Social Responsibility (MCC) team, you will help position IBM in the market by defining and optimizing our brand. Your work will involve capturing the market's attention and articulating our point of view for clients, partners, the media, and other IBMers. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of talented individuals who are passionate about their work. You will be part of a culture that values openness, collaboration, and trust, where unique ideas are treasured. Your primary responsibility will be to help turn our vast collection of content into an easily understandable system that supports our visitors' key needs. This internship will also include educational, networking, and social activities, providing you with leadership exposure and mentorship throughout the summer. You will support our internal creative team, Blue Studio, which is responsible for the strategic evolution and expression of the IBM brand across various experiences. Your contributions will span research and strategy, communications and content development, and digital and physical experiences. In the Blue Studio, your words will matter as you partner with world-class strategists, designers, producers, and creative directors to tell compelling stories about the technologies changing our world. Your work will include distilling complex messages into sharp headlines, crafting scripted dialogue, and diving deeper into topics through blog posts and articles. You will act as a steward of the brand, guiding projects with writing standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Dive deeper into topics with blog posts, articles, and other surrounding materials
  • Act as a steward of the brand to support vision and voice across every deliverable

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited University
  • Available for an internship in Summer 2025
  • Rising senior for the 2025-2026 school year
  • Superior English language writing and editing skills (diction, syntax, and grammar)
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating success in primary responsibilities for the role
