About the position

As a Financial Analyst Intern at Lycoming Engines, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team by conducting analysis, maintaining forecasts, and budgets. Your responsibilities will include providing weekly, monthly, and quarterly profit and loss actuals and forecasts as required. You will be an integral part of the finance team, maintaining product line measurements and creating standard financial reports for the finance team and other functions within the business. Daily support to cross-functional teams will also be a key aspect of your role. In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist in the month-end and quarter-end close processes, providing support for respective deliverables. You will participate in the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation and review process, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. Conducting bill of material (BOM) audits will also be part of your duties, where you will develop reports and recommendations for corrective actions based on your findings. Other duties may be assigned as needed, providing you with a well-rounded experience in financial analysis and reporting. This internship is designed to give you exposure to various aspects of financial analysis within a leading company in the aviation industry. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interface with management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Self-starter with the ability to assimilate data into reports.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with other Finance and Accounting functions.
  • Must not require sponsorship to work in the U.S.
