The Investment Banking Analyst Program at Comerica Securities is a challenging full-time role designed to introduce new and recent college graduates to the foundational concepts and processes of investment banking, particularly focusing on merger, acquisition, and divestiture (M&A) advisory services, as well as select junior capital and private placement assignments. As an IB Analyst, you will work closely with other investment banking professionals to market the firm's advisory services to prospective clients and execute engaged advisory assignments on behalf of these entities. The clients include both existing clients of Comerica Bank and corporations or other entities that may not yet be clients of the broader firm, spanning both privately held and publicly listed companies across various industries and geographies. The base Analyst program lasts for two years, with the possibility of extending to a third year for select high performers. The program kicks off with an intensive training regimen that introduces new Analysts to the fundamental concepts of financial analysis and valuation. Analysts will gain exposure to the full scope of Comerica's capital markets and other product offerings, including Loan Syndications, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Foreign Exchange. In special cases, and depending on individual performance, direct promotion to Associate at the conclusion of the program may be possible without an MBA or similar graduate degree. The program includes formal finance, analysis, valuation, and related classroom and on-the-job training, along with professional career development through assessments, coaching, team building, and mentoring. Analysts will have direct exposure to senior and executive leadership through participation on small, project- and client-focused deal teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of Investment Banking and Capital Markets products and services, including M&A advisory, junior capital raising, Debt Capital Markets, and Loan Syndications, while serving client sectors such as Middle Market businesses across manufacturing, industrials, business services, and various national specialty groups. The position is based in Dallas, TX, with project-related travel throughout the United States. Analysts must pass a background check and complete registration with the securities industry regulator FINRA by passing the Series 7, Series 79, and Series 63 securities exams, maintaining active and valid FINRA registrations for the duration of their employment.
