About the position

The Sr. Retail Vendor Manager (VM) Intern at Amazon is a graduate-level internship designed for students to gain hands-on experience in building strategic business relationships within the Amazon Stores organization. The role focuses on monitoring industry trends, managing P&L, and delivering innovative growth solutions while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Interns will work closely with vendors and internal teams to drive business success in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets by executing annual and ongoing vendor negotiations.
• Understand customer needs and advocate for improvements that enhance the shopping experience for Amazon customers.
• Build and maintain vendor/brand relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for vendor selection onboarding, escalations, and negotiations.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor developments to inform business strategies.
• Maximize Amazon's business and financial profitability through selection optimization and expansion opportunities.
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders while meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week for a maximum of 12 weeks during the internship.
