About the position

Citi is seeking Summer Analysts to join the Risk Management team in Buffalo, offering a 10-week internship that provides a foundational understanding of risk management and governance. The program is designed to equip interns with essential skills and knowledge, allowing them to contribute to various risk teams while receiving mentorship from experienced professionals. This role is ideal for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM or quantitative field, aiming to build a career in risk management.

Responsibilities

• Work on challenging and impactful projects within the Risk Management team.
• Assess risk and develop business acumen related to Citi's operations.
• Participate in foundational training sessions to promote professional development.
• Collaborate closely with management teams and receive mentorship from senior leaders.
• Engage in statistical analysis and data/modeling validation.
• Identify data quality issues and explore data for problem-solving.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a STEM or quantitative related major (graduating December 2025 through June 2026).
• Maintain a GPA of 3.3 or above.
• Interest in Risk Management and financial services.
• Strong data analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and intellectual curiosity.
