About the position
The Packaging Co-Op at Nestlé is a paid, 6-month program designed for undergraduate or graduate students interested in gaining hands-on experience in the packaging field. Starting in June 2025, this role offers the opportunity to work on real-life projects that encompass the entire packaging development process, from design to manufacturing, while contributing to sustainability initiatives and quality improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead sustainability and productivity initiatives to reduce material usage in existing packaging platforms.
- Develop protocols and conduct extensive testing to evaluate product and package performance.
- Design new package formats for various trade channels such as Club stores, Value, Grocery, and E-commerce.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation and specifications for packaging materials.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program with a focus on Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, or a related field.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
- Effective communication skills.
- Analytical skills for data tracking and results analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Collaborative and able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to deliver results on challenging assignments.
Nice-to-haves
- Willing to relocate as necessary for the assignment.
- Willingness to work in a corporate site or a manufacturing site during the co-op.
- Willing to travel to Nestlé factories and/or supplier locations throughout the US.
