About the position

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to join the Network Systems Department within the Communication Technologies and Engineering Division (CTED). This role involves supporting network architecture studies and the implementation of physical networking testbeds, contributing to the development and improvement of network lab infrastructure, and collaborating with experienced networking engineers. The position is hybrid, requiring some onsite work in El Segundo, CA, and aims to foster an inclusive and diverse workplace for all employees.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and improvement of network lab infrastructure.
• Participate in the development of physical testbeds that study optical networking.
• Collaborate onsite or remotely with experienced networking engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or closely related technical discipline from an accredited college/university, pursuing or conferred within last 12 months.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Fluent proficiency in TCP/IP usage/implementation and network routing protocols.
• Applied research in network simulation and/or skills experimenting with networking hardware.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
