The 2025 New Grad (Early Career) Propulsion Engineer position at Blue Origin focuses on designing, developing, and testing propulsion valves and fluid system components for liquid rocket engines. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test propulsion valves and fluid system components for liquid rocket engines.
  • Participate in all aspects of the design, assembly, test, and flight operations of rocket components.
  • Apply technical knowledge and leadership skills to enhance safe human spaceflight.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to solve complex engineering problems.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in an engineering discipline (aerospace, mechanical, chemical, or physics desired).
  • 0-2 years of professional engineering experience with valves, fluid control systems, and mechanisms.
  • Computer-aided design (CAD) experience.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with data analysis and data processing.
  • Ability to earn trust and maintain positive professional relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Liquid rocket or jet engine development experience with pressurized fluid components.
  • Experience with Creo (Pro/E) Wildfire 5 or greater, Windchill 10.
  • Strong technical fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware design processes related to valves and hardware fabrication techniques.
