About the position

The 2025 Non-Financial Risk Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week internship designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree, commencing in June. Summer Analysts will be integrated into teams that focus on various global compliance functions, including financial crimes, operational risk, regulatory relations, information controls, and global monitoring and testing. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to work on a compliance advisory team aligned with one of the firm's core businesses. Throughout the program, Summer Analysts will engage in daily responsibilities while collaborating on a group project aimed at addressing a real-world issue faced by the Division. This program not only provides hands-on experience but also includes extensive training to enhance understanding of the firm’s operations and compliance landscape. The training program begins with a firmwide orientation, followed by specialized compliance training. Throughout the summer, participants will have access to various events designed to immerse them in the firm’s culture. These include mentorship opportunities, community service events, seminars featuring senior management, and networking and educational events that foster professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to key projects to establish and maintain strong processes and infrastructure and support appropriate risk governance.
  • Assist in day-to-day risk management of operational risk exposures by providing independent analysis of business activities and establishing processes and tools to monitor these risks.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews of clients during the account opening process, focusing on financial crimes concerns.
  • Conduct monitoring and surveillance of transactions, employee activities, and communications.
  • Perform transaction and control-based testing of firm processes and controls to mitigate risks.
  • Analyze regulations, rules, and various proposals; draft and coordinate regulatory updates and compliance bulletins.
  • Conduct research and assist with responses to various regulatory inquiries and examinations.
  • Review and draft policies, procedures, compliance manuals, and develop/update related training courses.
  • Participate in compliance risk assessments and analyze the compliance environment and controls for a line of business.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree of any discipline, open to all majors.
  • Graduating between December 2025 and May 2026.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Track record of academic excellence.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize a variety of data to produce well-designed, meaningful summaries and reports.
  • Adept at solving problems and developing efficient processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Benefits

  • Expected base pay rate of $25.49 per hour at the commencement of employment, with total compensation potentially including commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other benefit programs.
