About the position
The 2025 ODNR Paid Summer Internship in Cultural History & Archives/Library offers students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in historical research and documentation within the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Interns will engage in various tasks that contribute to the preservation and interpretation of Ohio's natural and cultural resources, while also benefiting from professional development opportunities in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop content for historical interpretation.
- Document historical assets for online collections management software.
- Process and describe files.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of the Department's functions and responsibilities.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
Requirements
- Enrolled as a part-time or full-time student in History & Archives/Library Science at an accredited institution.
- Good academic standing with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Ability to submit a resume and a relevant writing sample.
