About the position
The 2025 Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Summer Internship Program offers students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various fields related to natural resource management. Interns will work in locations such as Columbus, Akron, Mogadore, and Waynesville, engaging in activities that promote the wise use and protection of Ohio's natural resources. This internship is designed for students from diverse academic backgrounds, providing them with professional development and training opportunities while contributing to the agency's mission.
Responsibilities
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of the Department's operations and objectives.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
- Assist in projects that promote the balance between resource use and protection.
- Engage in hands-on, practical experiences related to natural resource management.
Requirements
- Enrolled as a part-time or full-time student in relevant majors such as Business Administration, Communications, Education, Environmental Sciences, Marketing, or Media Studies.
- Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Ability to submit a resume and a relevant writing sample.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in customer service or public relations.
- Familiarity with environmental science or natural resource management.
