About the position

The Operations Analyst Program at JPMorgan Chase is a two-year full-time program designed to immerse new analysts in the Operations function of the firm. Participants will work collaboratively to deliver core services to clients while developing their skills and knowledge in financial operations. The program aims to foster long-term career growth within the Operations organization, providing opportunities for advancement based on performance. Analysts will engage in various responsibilities, including client onboarding, data analytics, and process optimization, while being part of a supportive community of peers and leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the end-to-end management of the client onboarding experience
  • Analyze reference data to help support trading
  • Optimize processes in collaboration with Technology teams through reviewing and developing test plans
  • Document procedures and process flows and ensure they are kept accurate
  • Process and investigate client transactions for a variety of products
  • Provide data analytics and reporting support for operational functions
  • Perform credit analysis, review documentation and monitor ongoing compliance with financial covenants

Requirements

  • Completed Associate's, Bachelor's or 5th year Master's or 2 years of related experience in Financial Services Operations
  • Great team player able to work within deadlines in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Detailed-oriented with strong critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize assignments and know when to seek help for optimal solution
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated growth mindset with desire to learn financial operations
  • Root-cause analysis with experience researching, documenting, and independently reporting information to resolve exceptions, propose solutions, and deliver results
  • Maintenance of issue logs, troubleshooting of problems, and handling of complaints with appropriate and timely escalation
  • Experience with data analytics including working with large data sets, data analysis and visualization

Nice-to-haves

  • Data automation (Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)
  • Pre and post-trade lifecycle and portfolio management
  • Loan origination, servicing, analysis, and quality control
  • Money market, mutual funds, equities, fixed income, alternative investments and derivatives
  • Experience processing multiple documents, payments and transactions for clients and various stakeholders
  • Experience with client relationship management
  • Ongoing collecting, inputting, analyzing, and monitoring of financial information
