About the position

The Operations Division at Morgan Stanley serves as the front line of defense for the Firm's financial and operational well-being, collaborating closely with various departments to safeguard the Firm's reputation and franchise. This division partners with Sales & Trading, Finance, Legal, and Technology to execute the Firm's institutional, retail, and asset management businesses. The role involves supporting and settling daily transactions, implementing effective controls, developing strong client relationships, and engaging with business partners to facilitate the development of new structures, businesses, and markets. As a Full-Time Analyst, you will participate in a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the Financial Services Industry. This program includes a Firm orientation, followed by training in financial, technical, and professional skills. You will also have opportunities to expand your professional network through seminars with senior management, social events, and mentorship. In this role, you will collaborate with various Operations teams to evaluate and reengineer processes aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. You will partner with business units and technology to provide exceptional service in areas such as trade capture, clearance and settlement, account opening, cash management, billing, tax reporting, and fraud monitoring. Additionally, you will work with Technology to design and implement business process changes that streamline operations and improve productivity. Identifying and mitigating operational risks while ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements will also be a key responsibility. Establishing and maintaining effective client relationships to deliver world-class operational services is essential. Upon completion of training, analysts will be assigned to specific teams within Operations based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across various Ops teams to evaluate and reengineer processes to drive greater operational efficiency.
  • Partner with business units and technology to deliver exceptional service to clients in trade capture, clearance and settlement, account opening, cash management, billing, tax reporting, and fraud monitoring.
  • Work with Technology to design, manage, and implement business process changes to streamline processes and improve productivity.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risk while ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective client relationships to deliver world-class operational services.
  • Upon completion of training, analysts will be assigned to a team within Operations based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree and graduating between December 2024 and June 2025.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Attention to detail and sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills to handle multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities.

Benefits

  • Expected base pay rate of $58,000 per year.
