As an intern, you will learn to supervise and lead individuals in an operations department. You will assist with the implementation of production plans and manage the completion of these plans. The role requires applying good leadership techniques to achieve or exceed the expected level of quality and production output. You will also assist with ideas to improve current production or introduce new products and lines into production. Additionally, you will sit in on meetings with Supervisors and Managers to gain an understanding of current projects and focuses. You will be expected to anticipate and overcome production-related problems, materials shortages, equipment malfunctions, and unavoidable delays where possible to reduce their impact on the operation. In terms of project management for special projects assigned to you, you will monitor and lead these projects, submit potential projects to management, and provide status reports on projects.
