The PGA TOUR Internship Program is designed to provide college students and recent graduates with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various business operations within the organization. Established in 1992, this paid internship spans 8 weeks and aims to strengthen diversity within the PGA TOUR and the golf industry as a whole. Interns will have the chance to work in a variety of departments, including Corporate Marketing, Human Resources, Communications, Business Development, International Business Operations, Tournament Business Operations, Legal, Finance & Accounting, Domestic & International Media, Digital Content, Data Science & Analytics, and Golf Technologies. This program not only allows interns to build their work experience but also to learn about the inner workings of a leading sports organization. To be eligible for this internship, applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, have completed their sophomore year, and be legally permitted to work in the United States. International students must be enrolled at a U.S. college or university and obtain the necessary visas and employment authorizations prior to the start of the internship. The application process includes a personal statement, which is a critical component of the application. Candidates are required to submit a short essay and a creative project that reflects their personality and experiences. The essay prompt asks applicants to share a lesson learned the hard way, while the creative project can take various forms, such as a video, graphic design, or presentation, responding to a character that has influenced their self-perception. Applications for the internship will be accepted until January 19, 2025, and candidates are encouraged to ensure all components of their application are complete before submission, as attachments cannot be added post-submission.
