About the position

The Project Engineer Intern position at Skanska offers a unique opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in construction management or engineering. This role involves assisting Project Managers and Superintendents on various projects, providing support in engineering, cost estimation, safety, and finance. Interns will gain hands-on experience in coordinating project activities, performing accounting tasks, and engaging in estimating functions, all under direct supervision and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support Project Manager and Superintendent on assigned projects.
• Perform routine daily activities and gather/distribute information.
• Coordinate project activities with supervision from Project and/or Operations Manager.
• Perform accounting activities with assistance.
• Assist in estimating functions as requested.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic phases of construction projects.
• Knowledge of mathematics functions (geometry, basic algebra).
• Computer skills (MS Office, HCSS, CGC, etc.).
• Ability to perform work in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.
• Effective communication skills with customers, clients, subcontractors, and third parties.
• Ability to present information clearly in both written and verbal form.
• Working towards a bachelor's in Construction Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
