About the position

The Risk Management Summer Intern will assist the Risk Management team at United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) in identifying, assessing, and mitigating various risks associated with the company's operations. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in risk analysis, compliance, and operational assessments within the mortgage industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting risk assessments and evaluations for various business operations and processes.
• Support the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
• Conduct research on industry trends and best practices related to risk management.
• Help analyze data and prepare reports on risk exposures and mitigation strategies.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on risk management initiatives.
• Assist in the monitoring of compliance with risk management policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by members of the Risk Management team.

Requirements

• Graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2025 or 2026 (current junior/senior status)
• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a team environment
