About the position

Lutron's Sales Leadership Development Program is a unique rotational training experience designed to prepare individuals for a successful career in consultative sales. This program aims to identify and cultivate future leaders who will grow their careers within Lutron. Participants will have the opportunity to explore various roles and develop innovative business approaches, all while contributing to the company's mission of enhancing the way people experience buildings through effective lighting control solutions. Throughout the 7-month program, associates will actively engage in learning about Lutron's technology, products, sales strategies, and customer types. The program includes travel to several major cities for sales trips, providing firsthand experience of the daily life of salespeople across different business segments, including retail, residential, and commercial. Participants will also receive direct feedback from sales leaders to improve their presentation skills and will have the chance to build personal relationships with Lutron's executive team. Upon completion of the training, associates will transition into an outside sales role, with the expectation of relocating to a major metropolitan market. This program not only focuses on individual growth but also emphasizes the importance of creating lasting customer relationships. Associates will play a crucial role in driving company growth and expansion through the sales of new products and services, while upholding Lutron's reputation as an industry leader through proactive communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities

  • Participate in a comprehensive 7-month development experience in Pennsylvania
  • Actively learn about Lutron's technology, products, sales strategies, and customer types
  • Travel to several major cities during the program on sales trips

Requirements

  • Completed a bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 2.80; a technical degree or interest is preferred
  • Willingness to relocate and travel up to 50% once assigned to a territory
  • 0-3 years of professional working experience
