About the position

Lutron's Sales Leadership Development Program is a unique rotational training experience aimed at preparing individuals for a successful career in consultative sales. This program is designed for those who aspire to become future leaders within the company, providing them with the opportunity to explore various roles and develop innovative business strategies. Participants will engage in a comprehensive 7-month development experience based in Pennsylvania, where they will actively learn about Lutron's technology, products, sales strategies, and customer demographics. Throughout the program, associates will travel to several major cities to gain firsthand experience of the sales process across different business segments, including retail, residential, and commercial. This immersive experience will enhance their presentation skills through direct feedback from seasoned sales leaders and foster personal relationships with Lutron's executive team. Upon completion of the training, participants will transition into an outside sales role, with the expectation of relocating to a major metropolitan market. The program emphasizes the importance of passion for excellence and authenticity, which are crucial for creating lasting customer relationships. Associates will play a vital role in contributing to the company's growth by selling new products and services, while also upholding Lutron's reputation as an industry leader through proactive communication and problem-solving. Responsibilities

  • Participate in a comprehensive 7-month development experience in Pennsylvania
  • Actively learn about Lutron's technology, products, sales strategies, and customer types
  • Travel to several major cities during the program on sales trips to experience a day-in-the-life of salespeople in each business segment (retail, residential, and commercial)
  • Improve presentation skills by receiving direct feedback from sales leaders
  • Build personal relationships with Lutron's executive team
  • Complete training and join one of the business segments as an outside salesperson and relocate to a major metropolitan market

Requirements

  • Completed a bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 2.80; a technical degree or interest is preferred
  • Willingness to relocate and travel up to 50% once assigned to a territory
  • 0-3 years of professional working experience
