As a member of our engineering team, you will work on next-generation modules for vehicles. The successful candidate will collaborate with a design team to implement circuits, validate circuit implementations, analyze and resolve hardware failures, and ensure that all projects meet Ford's quality standards, are delivered on time, and maintain cost targets. You will be involved in designing high-speed digital circuits to meet specific requirements, using industry-standard schematic capture tools. Additionally, you will complete worst-case analysis of circuits, generate documentation, define stress test routines, formulate test plans, and handle validation testing to ensure performance over temperature and voltage extremes. Your role will also include completing root cause analysis and resolving issues in assigned sections, as well as participating in system design reviews. Occasional travel may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a design team to implement circuits and validate circuit implementations.
  • Analyze and resolve hardware failures to meet quality, time, and cost targets.
  • Design high-speed digital circuits to meet section requirements.
  • Use industry-standard schematic capture tools for circuit design.
  • Complete worst-case analysis of circuits in the area of responsibility.
  • Generate documentation in areas of responsibility.
  • Define stress test routines required to validate functional sections.
  • Formulate test plans to ensure component level performance.
  • Handle validation testing to ensure performance over temperature and voltage extremes.
  • Complete root cause analysis and resolve issues in assigned sections.
  • Participate in system design reviews.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree program for Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering at a sophomore or higher university level, with an expected graduation date before January 2026.
