About the position

The 2025 Summer Associate - Data Insights position at Raymond James Financial is a temporary role focused on dashboard reporting and financial analysis within the Private Client Banking division. The associate will engage in various analytical projects, utilizing reporting tools to develop dashboards and reports from large data sets, thereby supporting the business's operational and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial models and reports to forecast operational and performance metrics.
• Analyze data and create dashboard solutions to support the business.
• Manage and report on product performance data, including utilization rates and commission rates.
• Support the implementation of results and ongoing business processes.
• Ensure data quality and reliability.
• Collect and analyze information from various sources for modeling, reporting, and analysis.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify, define, and solve problems, supporting corporate initiatives.
• Prepare management reports, document analysis, and help determine the best course of action.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a professional office environment.
• Familiarity with financial models and data visualization methods.
• Experience with large relational databases.
• Basic knowledge of data mining and data visualization tools.
• Skills in Tableau, Excel, SQL, Access, Qlik, PowerPoint, and statistical analysis packages.
• Ability to respond to common data inquiries from internal teammates.
• Ability to assist in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and Qlik.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis packages.
