About The Position

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is offering a Summer Employment Program for hard-working individuals seeking temporary positions from early April through October. Requirements

• Successful completion of the Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee Program or equivalent for CDL Operator positions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating trucks/equipment used for highway and bridge maintenance and construction.
• Vocational training in building and construction work, maintenance, or custodial work.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks as a Custodial Worker, including washing, waxing, dusting, and sanitizing facilities.
• Assist in highway maintenance and construction projects as a Highway Maintenance Worker, including erecting and maintaining traffic signs.
• Conduct manual labor in construction and maintenance projects as a Semi-Skilled Laborer.
• Operate transportation equipment and perform duties such as traffic control and equipment repair as a CDL Operator.
