About the position

The Accounting & Finance Development Program (AFDP) internship at Walmart offers exceptional students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in finance and accounting within a fast-paced corporate environment. This 10-week summer internship is designed to develop future leaders by providing exposure to various business segments and the chance to work on strategic projects that drive value for customers. Interns will have the potential to secure a full-time position in a rigorous two-year rotational program upon graduation, with distinct tracks available in Finance & Strategy or Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Work on challenging and innovative projects that drive business forward.
• Support various areas of the organization including Strategy, Operations, Merchandising, and more.
• Gain broad finance and/or accounting experience through on-the-job training.
• Present findings and projects to executive leadership.
• Participate in case study workshops and competitions.
• Engage in community volunteering and company-wide events.

Requirements

• Students pursuing a Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Business, Strategy, or related fields.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Expected graduation in December 2025 or May 2026.
• Demonstrated ability to grasp concepts quickly and solve complex business problems.
