About the position

Over the course of 10 weeks, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and mentors who are leaders in their fields. This program serves as a vital pipeline for future full-time opportunities and development programs within AVANGRID. During your internship, you will apply your college learning to implement innovative solutions to real-world challenges. You will engage in cross-functional activities that will broaden your understanding of AVANGRID and its various companies. The internship will involve project-based assignments that provide a challenging professional work experience, allowing you to collaborate with others and gain exposure to different levels of leadership and management. Additionally, you will benefit from amazing mentorship opportunities that can help shape your career path. Top-performing summer interns may be eligible for full-time offers to join the team or participate in the Global Rotational Graduate Program or full-time engineering roles upon successful completion of their degree. The hourly pay for this internship ranges from $18 to $32, depending on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

  • Sophomore or Junior pursuing a Bachelor's or first year Master's degree with at least one more semester remaining to graduate.
  • Preferred concentrations in civil, industrial, mechanical engineering or related fields.
  • High affinity for building well-engineered solutions to complex problems related to clean, renewable, and sustainable energy.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without the requirement for future sponsorship.
