About the position

You will work alongside mentors and professionals who rank among the best in their fields, providing you with invaluable insights and guidance throughout your internship. This program serves as a key pipeline for full-time opportunities and development programs at AVANGRID, making it an excellent stepping stone for your career. During your internship, you will apply your college learning to implement innovative solutions to real-world challenges. You will undertake cross-functional activities that will broaden your knowledge of AVANGRID and its various companies. The internship will involve collaboration in project-based assignments, providing you with challenging professional work experience. You will also have the chance to interact, network, and gain exposure to various levels of leadership and management within the organization. Amazing mentorship opportunities will be available to help you grow and develop your skills. The hourly pay range for this internship is between $18 and $32, and top summer interns may be eligible to receive full-time offers to join the team or participate in the Global Rotational Graduate Program or full-time engineer roles following the successful completion of their degree.

Requirements

  • Sophomore or Junior pursuing a Bachelor's or first year Master's degree with at least one more semester remaining to graduate.
  • Preferred concentrations in engineering; suggested majors include civil, industrial, mechanical, or related fields.
  • High affinity for building well-engineered solutions to complex problems related to clean, renewable, and sustainable energy.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without the requirement for future sponsorship.
