About the position

As an AVANGRID intern, you will be part of a dynamic 10-week internship program designed to provide you with real-world experience and the opportunity to develop lasting mentor relationships. This internship is not just about gaining experience; it is about supporting the company's strategic direction while tackling current industry challenges. You will work alongside mentors and professionals who rank among the best in their fields, allowing you to apply your college learning and implement innovative solutions to real-world challenges. During your time with us, you will undertake cross-functional activities that will broaden your knowledge of AVANGRID and its various companies. You will collaborate on project-based assignments that provide challenging professional work experience, and you will have the chance to interact, network, and gain exposure to various levels of leadership and management within the organization. This internship program is a key pipeline for full-time opportunities and development programs at AVANGRID, with top summer interns being eligible to receive full-time offers to join the team or participate in our Local Rotational Graduate or Global Rotational Program, or full-time engineer roles following the successful completion of their degree.

Requirements

  • Sophomore or Junior pursuing a Bachelor's or first year Master's degree with one or more summers remaining prior to completion of degree.
  • Preferred concentrations in engineering; suggested majors include electrical or related fields.
  • High affinity for building well-engineered solutions to complex problems in clean, renewable, and sustainable energy.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
