About the position

As a Summer Intern in the role of Associate DevOps Engineer at Spectrum, you will be immersed in a dynamic and forward-thinking business environment. This internship is designed to provide you with paid, full-time work experience that not only exposes you to the business culture but also allows you to gain new skills while enhancing existing ones. You will have hands-on experience at an industry-leading telecommunications company, working closely with your respective department and your intern peer group. Throughout the internship, you will be assigned a mentor and will have opportunities to interact with senior executives, which will help you accomplish practical goals that you can proudly add to your résumé. The program is structured to be a learning-intensive experience, giving you essential business insights and hands-on experience in your field. The internship will run for a full-time, 10-week commitment from May 28, 2025, through August 1, 2025, and is located in Maryland Heights, MO. In your role, you will work on developing proactive alerting and monitoring systems for operational support of enterprise-level Micro Services and Event-Based architecture solutions. This position is ideal for motivated and driven students who are currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor's degree program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and who have a graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026. You will be expected to bring your bachelor's degree in a STEM-related major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) and a strong desire to learn how you can impact proactive approaches to operations support at Spectrum.

Responsibilities

  • Develop proactive alerting and monitoring systems for operational support of enterprise-level Micro Services and Event-Based architecture solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage individual tasks effectively.
  • Participate in Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor's degree program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math).
  • Ability to work seamlessly within a team and manage individual tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills.
