About the position

The Communications, Marketing, Multimedia, Graphic Design, or Emerging Media Intern will support the Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) organization at the Savannah River Site (SRS) in Aiken, South Carolina. This internship offers hands-on experience in various multimedia services, including social media content creation, video projects, graphic design, and internal and external communications. The role is designed for full-time students pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields, providing an opportunity to engage in meaningful work while developing practical skills in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing projects within the Multimedia Services Department.
• Create content for social media platforms.
• Assist in video production projects.
• Design graphics for various communications.
• Contribute to website design and maintenance.
• Engage in photography for internal and external communications.
• Write general content for internal and external audiences.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives.
• Manage projects from inception to completion.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited four-year university.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Multimedia, Graphic Design, or Emerging Media.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above and completed Junior year.
• Ability to understand and use Adobe products (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
• Knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver and HTML coding is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with other software packages related to multimedia and graphic design.
