About the position

Join the Global Purchasing and Manufacturing Services (GP&MS) team at General Motors, where you will be part of a dynamic and innovative organization dedicated to providing GM with a competitive advantage through exemplary services and solutions. This hybrid role requires you to report to the Warren Technical Center at least three times a week. As a member of the GP&MS team, you will have the opportunity to interact with industry leaders, attend cross-functional events, and engage in community service activities, gaining valuable work experience in various areas including Indirect & Direct Purchasing, Indirect Materials Management, Business Process Transformation, and Supplier Recovery & Asset Management. In this role, you will support the development of sourcing strategies by analyzing the supply base, market conditions, and technology roadmaps. You will lead projects aimed at improving Procurement, Freight Bill Audit, Supplier Claims, or Asset Management. Utilizing Lean tools, you will work to enhance Purchasing, Inventory, and Planning processes, while implementing standardized work to minimize variation in purchasing processes. Additionally, you will lead strategic supplier engagement activities such as Technology Days and Requests for Quotes, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support in the development of sourcing strategies by analyzing the supply base, market conditions, and technology roadmaps

Requirements

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related fields
  • Must be graduating between December 2025 and June 2026
  • Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week
